Listen to it
No inflated descriptions. This is the real sound of the instrument, recorded with no tricks.
The sound
A very sweet, warm voice, well balanced between basses and trebles. But push it and it delivers a real punch and true projection.
This is a guitar made for the classical repertoire. It doesn't shout and it doesn't have the aggressive tone of some stage instruments: it sings. The walnut back and sides give it a warmth rosewood doesn't have, and the solid spruce top, after twelve years of settling, is open and responsive the way it should be.
Construction
No laminates, no industrial shortcuts. Solid timber, traditional joinery, clear nitro finish. Made by hand, once.

Who built it
Not a brand. A person, with a workbench in Rome and almost fifty years spent building classical guitars one at a time. One of his guitars was played in the Sala della Lupa at Montecitorio, the very hall where the Italian Constitution was signed. And when twenty Italian luthiers joined forces to build "L'Italica" for Roma Expo Guitars, he was one of the twenty.
This one was bought directly from him in 2013. Serial number, label and signature are all original, visible in the photo of the interior.
Why I'm selling it
I now study flamenco and play cypress guitars built for that repertoire. This is a classical guitar, and it wants someone who truly plays classical.

Shipping
I ship exclusively by DHL express courier, with professional packaging and insurance for the full value of the instrument. I don't use the regular postal service: for a luthier guitar I don't consider it reliable, and I'd rather spend more than risk it arriving broken.
Whether you're a student, an enthusiast or a concert player, you know the best way to approach an instrument is to play it. Take your time, the coffee's on me!
For shipping outside Italy, write to me: I'll give you an exact quote, always DHL and always insured.
Only one, and then it's gone
Write to me to arrange a try-out, to agree on shipping, or just to ask for an extra photo or detail. I answer everyone.
